Job Summary

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Supervisor, Child and Family Services to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of Family and Community Social Workers in Inuvik, Fort Smith, and Norman Wells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of Family and Community Social Workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients and families.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to support the work of the team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child and family services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work and three (3) years of related work experience, with at least one (1) year of direct supervisory experience, OR
  • A diploma in social work and five (5) years directly related work experience with at least two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Completion of a Master in Social Work would be an asset.
  • Must meet the GNWT Professional Registered Social Worker Requirement.
  • Must be eligible for appointment as a Child Protection Worker.

  • A competitive salary range of $53.80 per hour to $64.26 per hour (approximately $104,910 - $125,307) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $14,661.
