Position Overview:
If you are dedicated to enhancing the experience of team members and are motivated by innovation and progress, consider the role of a Nursing Clerk at Norfinch Community.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Nursing Clerk, your daily activities will include:
  • Providing essential clerical assistance to ensure the Nursing department operates smoothly.
  • Facilitating personalized requests from MDS as needed.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of Resident and multidisciplinary team conferences, maintaining an accurate calendar.
  • Preparing monthly reports and profile lists as directed by the Director of Care (DOC).
  • Monitoring mobility equipment and organizing foot care services.
  • Assisting with the procurement of materials, managing inventory, and distributing office supplies for the Nursing department.
  • Updating and maintaining Resident information accurately, including new admissions.
  • Participating in the admission and discharge processes, ensuring documentation adheres to the established coding system.
  • Maintaining and organizing Resident charts in accordance with active chart records and chart thinning policies.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years in an administrative capacity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven collaboration and communication skills.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
