Job Title: Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Excellent Choice Painting and Decorating Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces, as well as advising clients on colours and wall coverings. They will also be required to mix paint to the desired colour and texture, measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding
  • Willing to travel
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in various locations, with a focus on interior and exterior painting and decorating. They will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
