Role Overview
As part of the CIBC Real Estate Finance Division, your primary focus will be on delivering financing solutions to real estate enterprises across Canada, encompassing both interim/construction and long-term financing options.

Team Composition
Our team consists of seasoned real estate experts with a presence in major cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, London, Hamilton, and Montreal.

Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Senior Manager, you will:

  • Oversee essential client relationships and facilitate the execution of secured and unsecured credit facilities, property acquisition financing, commercial mortgages, and construction loans.
  • Engage in direct client interactions, focusing on client acquisition, relationship management, and credit oversight.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Governance and Oversight team to ensure optimal performance of the credit portfolio, addressing expiries, risk items, and overall client experience.
  • Proactively identify and propose innovative financial solutions in collaboration with various internal departments including Finance, Advisory, Treasury, and Wealth Management.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of the credit quality of your portfolio, ensuring accurate risk evaluations and compliance with all internal policies.
  • Develop strategic account plans and sales initiatives in partnership with product teams, while fostering a robust external network to enhance CIBC's community presence.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to their professional development.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in real estate lending, financial services, or real estate investment.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and a proven track record in business development.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in both French and English to effectively serve our diverse clientele.
