Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations
Job Summary:
The City of Windsor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive corporate communications strategy. This key role will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong reputation for the City, while providing strategic advice to senior executives and managing issues in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with the City's goals and objectives
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives on communications and issues management
- Manage and maintain a strong reputation for the City through effective media relations, social media, and other communications channels
- Lead the development and implementation of communications plans and programs to engage stakeholders and build relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication of City programs and services
- Provide guidance and support to City staff on communications and issues management
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in corporate communications and public relations
Requirements:
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
