We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations to join our team at the City of Windsor. As a key member of our corporate services department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide corporate communications strategy that showcases our city's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that aligns with the city's goals and objectives
  • Provide strategic advice to senior executives on communications and issues management
  • Lead the development of communications materials, including news releases, advertisements, publications, and social media content
  • Manage and maintain the city's reputation through effective crisis communications and issues management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement communications plans that support business objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on communications best practices and protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in corporate communications and public relations

Requirements:

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
