Job Summary:

The City of Windsor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations to lead our corporate communications strategy and team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan that showcases the City's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with the City's goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of communications professionals to create and disseminate engaging content across various channels
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including City Council, senior management, and external partners
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on communications and issues management
  • Develop and maintain the City's brand and reputation through effective communications and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all City initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in corporate communications and public relations

Requirements:

  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective communications plans
