Job Summary

The City of Windsor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Communications and Customer Service to lead our corporate communications strategy and customer service initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with the City's goals and objectives
  • Lead the development of key messaging and communications materials, including press releases, media kits, and social media content
  • Provide strategic advice to senior executives on communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, community groups, and City Council
  • Oversee the development and implementation of customer service initiatives, including customer feedback mechanisms and service standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of City initiatives and programs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of communications professionals
Requirements
  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and customer service
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
