Senior Manager of Communications and Customer Service

The City of Windsor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Communications and Customer Service to join our team. As a key member of our corporate services department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide corporate communications strategy that showcases the City's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that aligns with the City's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of communications professionals to ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the media.
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives on communications and customer service matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including City Council, community groups, and media outlets.
- Oversee the development and implementation of customer service initiatives to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of City initiatives and programs.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on communications and customer service best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in corporate communications and customer service.
- University degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications and customer service, preferably in a municipal or government setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of government processes and procedures, particularly in the development and delivery of stakeholder consultation plans.
