Executive Chef Opportunity at Sal's Famous Athabasca

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Sal's Famous Athabasca. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the high standards of our customers.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor our kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient kitchen.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Event Management: Organize and execute buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate our kitchen team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience
  • Culinary Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Schedule: Permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • Language Proficiency: English language proficiency.
