About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at SAL'S FAMOUS ATHABASCA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.

Chef Supervision

Lead and motivate our kitchen team to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality dishes.

Inventory Management

Manage our inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet our menu demands.

Food Safety and Quality

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Staff Training and Development

Provide training and development opportunities to our kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role

Skills and Abilities
  • Attention to Detail

Able to maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Fast-Paced Environment

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Demands

Able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Communication

Excellent oral communication skills to effectively lead and motivate the kitchen team.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
