General Practitioner in Oncology Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our Medical Oncology Department as a General Practitioner in Oncology (GPO). This role involves working collaboratively with Medical Oncologists and other medical specialists, nurses, and clerical staff in an interdisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ambulatory care of patients on therapy and in follow-up
  • Support for inpatient care
  • Collaboration with Medical Oncologists and other medical specialists

The Surrey Centre, located in Surrey, BC, offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative care, and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials, and Patient and Family Counseling.

Requirements:
  • Licensure to practice as a family physician in British Columbia
  • Appointment as a member of the medical staff of the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Memorial Hospital
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism reports
