About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician in Oncology to join our team at BC Cancer in Surrey, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in an interdisciplinary environment, working collaboratively with medical oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct ambulatory care of patients on therapy and in follow-up, with a focus on delivering evidence-based care.
  • Support inpatient care as needed, working closely with the medical oncology team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in medical oncology, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Requirements
  • Current licensure to practice as a family physician in British Columbia.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for appointment as a member of the medical staff of the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Memorial Hospital.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, as per the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
