RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate passionately and with integrity to cultivate an exceptional working atmosphere alongside the general manager and kitchen team.
  • Support the general manager in meeting daily operational and sales objectives, ensuring adherence to stock management and food management protocols such as ordering, food quality, waste management, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Implement daily shift planning, organizing, and executing operational routines and activities for the team (utilize deployment tools to assign daily tasks during peak and off-peak periods).
  • Serve as a role model by following and enforcing MANDY'S Gourmet Salads policies and procedures, becoming a connoisseur of product knowledge.
  • Aid the general manager in ensuring team performance meets or surpasses company quality, service, and guest standards by guiding team members on operational and procedural matters (e.g., MANDY'S VIP experience, menu knowledge, product knowledge, etc.)
  • Assist the general manager in developing team members by providing ongoing feedback and monitoring individual objectives.
  • Prepare and lead daily team briefings.
  • Organize and manage daily team break schedules.
  • Collaborate with the back-of-house team to oversee customer order wait times, address customer concerns, and take necessary actions to transform dissatisfied customers into loyal patrons.
  • Submit daily reporting requirements (e.g., shift notes, cash management processes, etc.)
  • Support the general manager in the recruitment process for new team members (e.g., interviews, etc.)
  • Continuously assess operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Execute administrative tasks and other responsibilities as directed by the general manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality sector preferred.
  • Culinary experience (preparation, recipe, and cooking) is an asset.
  • Degree in a culinary or hospitality field is an asset.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend information, possess analytical skills, ease with numbers, attention to detail, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Team-oriented, with leadership skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in French is required.
  • Attributes such as confidence, integrity, stress management skills, energy, autonomy, initiative, quality focus, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Adhere to and implement company policies and programs while meeting compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable in dynamic and evolving environments.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and/or working in high-temperature areas.
  • Able to work closely with others in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in computer skills and tech-savvy (e.g., G Suite).
  • MAPAQ certification and first aid training are assets.
