Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive work atmosphere in collaboration with the kitchen supervisor and restaurant manager
- Assist the kitchen supervisor in achieving daily operational and sales objectives, ensuring adherence to stock management and food safety protocols
- Plan and organize work shifts, implementing operational routines for the kitchen team
- Serve as a role model by adhering to MANDY's policies and becoming knowledgeable about our products
- Support the kitchen supervisor in ensuring the team's output meets or exceeds quality and service standards
- Facilitate training for team members through ongoing feedback and goal tracking
- Conduct daily back-of-house team meetings
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to manage guest order wait times and address any food-related complaints
- Prepare daily reports and assist in the hiring process for new kitchen staff
- Continuously evaluate kitchen operations for improvement opportunities
- Perform administrative tasks as requested by the kitchen supervisor or restaurant manager
Qualifications:
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Preferred: 1 year of leadership experience in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality sectors
- Culinary experience is an asset
- Degree in culinary or hospitality fields is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Fluency in French is required
- Attributes such as confidence, integrity, stress management, energy, autonomy, initiative, and organizational skills are essential
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Proficient in computer skills and technology
- MAPAQ certification and first aid training are advantageous
