About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Samsung Electronics Perú. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines to process large-scale data efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions for business and technical requirements
  • Lead and participate in architecture and design discussions, providing technical expertise and strategic thought leadership
  • Develop and maintain system architecture designs, data engineering activities, and data governance
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and solve complex problems using data-driven insights
Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software and big data from a product company
  • Architecture design and development of large-scale data platforms and applications
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Proficient in at least one programming language and scripting languages (Python, Java, Scala, Bash)
  • Experience with CICD tools such as Git Actions and CircleCI
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent education
Preferred Qualifications
  • DevOps skills: create build & install scripts, terraform, UNIX-based systems management, release management, production monitoring, etc.
  • Experience with GCP, Google Analytics, and Superset
  • Experience with Tableau data source and dashboard creation
  • Experience with Health or IOT or Mobile Device Management business
