Position Overview:

We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Advisor to become a vital part of our Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves providing front-line customer service for Commercial Lines policies while managing the retention and development of existing client accounts, as well as quoting and placing new business as necessary.

  • Address ongoing client needs, provide insurance advice, conduct assessments, recommend solutions, respond to inquiries, and manage renewals
  • Sell new policies and retain existing business
  • Generate quotes through proactive outreach and client engagement
  • Collaborate with Underwriters and Adjusters regarding policy guidelines
  • Prepare necessary documentation for insurers, complete client applications, issue insurance certificates, and process changes
  • Stay updated on underwriting regulations and operational processes
  • Engage in training and development initiatives
  • Participate in community marketing efforts
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma and/or Post-Secondary education
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance is advantageous
  • Alberta General Level 1 License is mandatory
  • Proficiency in EPIC and CISCO Finesse
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Previous sales experience is beneficial
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal and credit background check
