Position Overview

The Pharmacist, as a vital member of the Primary Health Care team, will engage with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, pharmacy personnel, and patients to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care aimed at optimizing medication therapy. Key responsibilities encompass resolving medication-related challenges, conducting medication reviews, educating patients, and offering informed recommendations to the healthcare team. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in ensuring safe medication practices by managing drug distribution systems and supporting the objectives of Nova Scotia Health Authority's Pharmacy Services.

Some travel may be required for this position.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program is preferred
  • Valid Pharmacy license in Nova Scotia
  • Certification in Basic Life Support
  • Expertise in pharmacology and therapeutics
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Capability to provide timely medication recommendations
  • Knowledge of the French language is an asset

Work Schedule
  • Full-time role; 75 hours every two weeks
  • Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage of $53.24
