  • Facilitate monthly Sales & Operations demand-review meetings.
  • Communicate issues to leadership as required.
  • Evaluate supplier performance semi-annually in support of Lawson's Key Supplier Program.
  • Review proposed supplier product-cost changes, initiate cost comparisons when necessary, and submit notifications to corporate stakeholders for approval and system updates.
  • Support bid proposals and contract negotiations, preparing purchase orders and providing necessary information.
  • Identify root causes and corrective actions for defective or unsatisfactory goods or services.
  • Take action and communicate within the organization to facilitate inter-company shipments of excess materials.
  • Participate in the financial budgeting process, assisting Accounts Payable in reconciling and processing invoices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Logistics, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management within a multi-functional distribution or manufacturing environment, along with experience in ERP/MRP/MM, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • APICS Certified (CPIM) or equivalent is required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERP system linkages within Material Management and Inventory Planning, as well as a solid understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, and priorities.
  • Able to manage multiple high-profile product lines with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and adept at leading decision-making processes for cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership professionally.
  • Capable of undertaking basic Strategic Sourcing duties or projects as required.
