Position Summary

Are you ready to embark on an engaging healthcare career in our dynamic admission unit? The Care Initiation Unit (CIU) is dedicated to delivering outstanding care to patients awaiting their inpatient bed assignments. As the Clinical Education Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing training requirements and engaging in the planning, execution, and evaluation of staff development initiatives within your designated area. Exhibit proficiency in the roles of educator, practitioner, manager, and researcher.
  • Contributing to the formulation of the departmental budget. Serving as an educational consultant to nursing personnel. Creating and delivering training materials.
  • Aiding in the design and assembly of educational resources.
  • Managing logistics for training events by setting program agendas, coordinating venues and refreshments, and scheduling speakers.
  • Acting as a mentor in the development of nurse educators and/or nurse managers.
  • Creating strategies and materials to promote the availability of training programs. Keeping records of course participation. Designing and conducting training sessions using the most effective adult learning methodologies. Performing related duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board is essential.
  • A minimum of four years of nursing experience, including at least one year in an educational capacity.
  • BLS certification is mandatory; ASCL certification is preferred.
  • A Master's degree is required, with a preference for an MSN in Nursing Education.
