About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Inc. as a Clinical Expertise professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Clinical Guidance: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage of medications.
  • Dispense Medications: Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other healthcare professionals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Customer Education: Advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication, promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Prescription Review: Check prescriptions for proper dosage and ensure accuracy before dispensing.
  • Compounding: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff members.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: 40 hours per week, with a focus on providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
