This is an exciting opportunity to join Scotiabank as a Director and Group Lead, Commercial Banking. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Senior Client Relationship Managers, Client Relationship Managers, and Associate Group Leads.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of experienced professionals in commercial banking, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service.
- Develop and execute tactical plans to drive business growth, including market analysis, business development, and relationship building.
- Collaborate with the Associate Group Lead to oversee various responsibilities, including credit adjudication, risk analysis, and lending policies.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in commercial banking.
- Work closely with the Vice President and Head, Commercial Banking to achieve business objectives and goals.
- Expert knowledge of Canada's financial services marketplace and the assigned market area's key industries, major customers, and competitive positioning.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proven experience in a role that exercises a high degree of independent judgment and discretion, with respect to sales management activities and within the context of approved budgets, authorities, and Bank policies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel and non-standard working hours.
- A dynamic and collaborative team environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
