Job Title: Outreach Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Outreach Program Manager will oversee the safe and efficient operation of the Outreach Program, ensuring that all aspects of service delivery are provided in a strength-based, culturally safe, and trauma-informed manner. This includes supervising a team of unionized staff, volunteers, and peer workers, and managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Outreach Program
  • Oversee safety aspects and manage risks associated with outreach work in the community and in Coast Spaces
  • Lead and support a team of unionized staff, volunteers, and peer workers, ensuring a positive, healthy, and safe work environment
  • Monitor program services and continuously work to enhance their effectiveness and quality
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including Vancouver Coastal Health, community agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly and effectively
  • Oversee program budgets for Outreach Team and monitor spending and variances
  • Ensure timely processing of client reports and accounting ledgers to internal stakeholders and external partners

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mental health, with experience in outreach/housing programs working with concurrent disorders
  • 3 years of supervisory and administrative experience
  • Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in social services or social work
  • Professional designation or degree in social work or psychiatric nursing an asset
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate, training in Crisis Management, valid B.C. Driver's License, and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check
