Job Summary

The Program Manager for Outreach Services will oversee the Maple Ridge Outreach Team and its operational sites, providing essential services to vulnerable individuals and assisting them in obtaining housing, accessing health services, and securing income assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Maple Ridge Outreach Team and its operational sites
  • Lead the team in providing essential services to vulnerable individuals
  • Assist clients in obtaining housing, accessing health services, and securing income assistance
  • Administer programs like the Rental Subsidy Program and Youth Outreach Program, following guidelines from BC Housing, Fraser Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Coast Mental Health policies
  • Provide a strength-based, culturally safe, and trauma-informed approach to inform all aspects of service delivery for vulnerable clients
  • Support staff in employing the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, harm reduction, motivational enhancement, and other evidence-based best practices
  • Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment for the team
  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including risk management, financial management, and program planning
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including community agencies and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mental health, with experience in outreach/housing programs working with concurrent disorders
  • 3 years of supervisory and administrative experience
  • Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in social services or social work
  • Professional designation or degree in social work or psychiatric nursing an asset
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate, training in Crisis Management, valid B.C. Driver's License, and access to a reliable vehicle
