Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at Coast Mental Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing programs and services for youth experiencing mental health issues, addictions, and other challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs and services for youth, including community outreach, education, and support groups.
  • Work with youth, families, and community agencies to identify and address the needs of youth.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, support, and advocacy services to youth.
  • Collaborate with other staff and community agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to youth services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure access to resources and services for youth.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Community Social Service or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with youth, preferably in a mental health or social services setting.
  • Knowledge of housing issues, local and community resources, and harm reduction approaches.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
