Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Howard Johnson Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff to achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure that all guests receive a high level of service and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
    • Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including rooms, public areas, and equipment.
    • Ensure that all hotel systems, including computer systems, equipment, and machinery, are functioning properly and make repairs as needed.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
    • Manage staff performance, including conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all hotel staff are aware of and comply with security and safety procedures.
    • Conduct regular security and safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage hotel budgets, including forecasting and controlling expenses.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on hotel performance and other relevant matters.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel management or supervisory role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Basic security clearance
