Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Full Time Artisan Butcher to join our Meat Department team at Fortinos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting our meat products, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Serve customers from the service meat counter, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Engage with customers to promote our meat products, offer meal solutions, and provide product knowledge and cooking tips.
  • Recommend and sell meat products using suggestive selling skills, ensuring customers receive the best possible service.
  • Set up, take down, and maintain the service counter, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Prepare specialty meat cuts as per customer specification, ensuring quality and cut compliance with our company standards.
  • Ensure the safety and sanitation of the department meet our company policies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Proven exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a certified meat cutter/butcher.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience cutting rail beef, veal, pork, and lamb in a retail meat environment.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, including 4 days of 10-hour shifts.
