Business Unit Director - Buildings Engineering

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada.

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong track record of growing and managing a significant business function within a professional services firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business unit with ultimate accountability for P&L performance, service quality delivery, and profitable growth.
  • Develop and implement the business plan for the unit, ensuring the team understands their role in achieving the plan's objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and deliver service excellence.
  • Lead the identification and targeting of clients to drive organic revenue growth.
  • Coach and mentor discipline managers and service managers to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Technical knowledge to recognize and manage risk in running a design-led business unit.
  • Well-developed commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
