Role Summary

We are seeking a Claims Representative for the Investigative Services Unit (ISU). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for examining and investigating claims of varying complexity across all business lines. A significant aspect of your duties will involve inputting data into our metrics-tracking system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our Fraud Detection Software to identify potentially fraudulent claims.
  • Review and assess claims for indications of fraud, determining the necessary scope of investigation.
  • Employ loss control tools and gather critical information from diverse sources to recommend further inquiries or close non-suspicious cases.
  • Conduct investigations via telephone and online platforms as required.
  • Document findings by collecting and securing evidence of fraudulent activities.
  • Analyze collected data and evaluate the validity of evidence.
  • Engage with law enforcement agencies to obtain additional information when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in claims management.
  • A university degree or a combination of relevant training and experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • A natural curiosity, persistence, and aptitude for detailed research.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance trends, developments, and regulations.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple stakeholders and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in standard desktop applications.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is considered an asset.
