Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Long & McQuade as an Agent/Agente du service des comptes clients. This role will be responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding payments, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage customer accounts, including outstanding rentals and bad debts
  • Process credit approvals for term and balance forward accounts, as well as consumer and commercial account rentals
  • Assist customers with inquiries about their accounts and rents
  • Locate new contact information for credit customers and perform sundry account maintenance
  • Register accounts through the Personal Property Registry and work with Equifax reports and their reporting criteria
  • Collaborate with the Small Claims Courts system and provide regular status reports to the Store Manager and Account Services Regional Manager

Requirements

  • Must be a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service, both in-store and over the phone
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with consumer credit and collections an asset
