Director, Allied Health Clinical Practice Leader

The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Allied Health Clinical Practice to join our team. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of allied health services in British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the allied health services team, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of allied health services, including the development of professional standards and practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including First Nations communities, provincial and regional partners, to ensure that allied health services are culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Indigenous peoples.
- Provide guidance and support to allied health professionals, including education, research, and project management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including First Nations leaders, health organizations, and government agencies.
- Master's degree in a health sciences discipline, preferably allied health profession, supplemented by at least eight (8) years' recent, related clinical and operational management experience in a complex health care environment.
- Current practicing registration with an applicable regulatory body.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of senior leadership experience with responsibilities for strategic programming in a management-level role, including supervision of allied health leaders and clinicians within an organization, across various communities within the Province of BC.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities, leadership, or organizations is an asset.
- Knowledge of First Nations cultures and backgrounds, and the understanding of how culture impacts on communication patterns, attitudes and approaches to health issues.
- Knowledge and the application of concepts, principles and theories of transcultural allied health to provide culturally safe nursing care.
- Knowledge of leading practices in leadership and leadership development.
- A competitive salary range of $119,068 - $161,092 per year.
