About the Role
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Office of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director, Allied Health Clinical Practice plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of allied health services within FNHA. This leadership position carries delegated authority and line responsibility for supporting provincial allied health programs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of allied health services delivered to First Nations communities.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including First Nations leadership, healthcare providers, and community members, to ensure that allied health services are culturally safe, responsive, and relevant to the needs of Indigenous populations.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, development, and performance management of a skilled and dedicated team of allied health professionals.
- Advocate for policies and funding that support the growth and sustainability of allied health services within the FNHA.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of allied health programs and initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of advanced education in a relevant healthcare field, extensive experience leading allied health teams, and a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures and health priorities.
