About the Role:

Hotel Arts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering & Event Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and events team, you will be responsible for selling and overseeing all catering food, beverage, and room rental revenues within a specific market at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Solicit and generate new business opportunities, collaborate with event planners to coordinate catering needs, and negotiate with clients on menu planning, beverage requirements, and other event specifics.
  • Catering Operations: Manage all aspects of catering, including setup details, agendas, and event logistics to ensure client objectives are met.
  • Client Relationship Management: Confirm event details with clients, prepare necessary documentation such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes, and enforce Catering Agreements according to hotel policies.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
  • Financial Management: Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for groups.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Post-Event Follow-up: Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in hotel sales platforms like Opera.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships across departments.
  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel catering, events, meetings, or conference roles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Comprehensive understanding of event setups, space functionalities, and operations.
