Catering and Event Services Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Catering and Event Services Manager to join our team at Hotel Arts. As a key member of our sales and events team, you will be responsible for selling and overseeing all catering food, beverage, and room rental revenues within a specific market.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with event planners to coordinate catering needs, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.
- Catering Management: Oversee all aspects of catering, including food and beverage, setup details, agendas, and event logistics to ensure client objectives are met.
- Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate with clients on menu planning, beverage requirements, and other event specifics, while maintaining effective communication throughout the event planning process.
- Documentation and Administration: Confirm event details with clients and prepare necessary documentation, such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes.
- Contract Management: Enforce Catering Agreements according to hotel policies, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with outside vendors as needed to ensure seamless event execution.
- Pricing and Menu Development: Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for groups, driving revenue growth and enhancing the guest experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with various hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Post-Event Follow-up: Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in Hotel Sales Platforms: Proficiency in hotel sales platforms like Opera, with experience in managing sales and events.
- Availability and Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs and events.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships across departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Experience and Knowledge: 1-2 years of experience in hotel catering, events, meetings, or conference roles, with a comprehensive understanding of event setups, space functionalities, and operations.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
