Position Overview

The Assistant Manager at TAGPUAN RESTAURANT plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment. This permanent position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week and is conducted in English.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or a non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to less than 7 months in a related field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess daily operational activities to enhance efficiency.
  • Adjust food preparation techniques and menu pricing in line with the restaurant's financial framework.
  • Oversee and evaluate staff performance to ensure high standards.
  • Engage in recruitment processes to build a strong team.
  • Establish work schedules for staff to optimize workflow.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to team members.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and territorial liquor laws and regulations.
  • Manage inventory organization and maintenance.
  • Uphold health and safety standards within the workplace.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and necessary supplies.
  • Facilitate negotiations with clients regarding catering services or facility usage.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance guest experiences.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing a team of 5-10 individuals.

Required Certifications
  • Safe Food Handling certificate is mandatory.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Work Environment
  • Access to public transportation is available.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage repetitive tasks.
