Job Summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Distribution and Control solutions team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining complex documentation for major and direct projects across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation databases using various tools and applications.
  • Collaborate with plants, field sales, and assigned customer base to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project documentation.
  • Review and analyze Vendor Drawings and Data requirements (VDDR) to identify scope discrepancies and communicate with sales and project managers.
  • Maintain the scheduling and tracking of all assigned project order documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, technical specialists, and other internal customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of document commitments.
  • Interact with Shared Service Center for outsourced services to meet team objectives.
  • Supply Operation and Maintenance Manuals per stipulated timelines and meet/exceed department metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve team efficiency.
  • Support documentation on active project orders of varying complexity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or electrical/mechanical engineering technologist diploma from an accredited institution.
  • One year of experience working with complex and large projects in the electrical industry, either in project management, sales/quotations, or engineering.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Must currently reside within an 80km radius of the working location (Burlington, ON) to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • P. Eng or C.E.T designation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
