POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Analytics Strategist will spearhead a dedicated team of analytics experts at Momentum Financial Services Group_new, utilizing data-driven insights to unlock business potential and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). As a proactive leader, you will apply your extensive background in business analytics to cultivate an internal analytics consultancy that addresses the diverse needs of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with various business units to deliver analytical and consulting expertise.
  • Assemble and guide a team focused on resolving business challenges across multiple financial service sectors, including loan origination, customer relations, finance, fraud prevention, collections, operations, and marketing.
  • Create and deploy dashboards, reports, and alerts to highlight business trends and performance metrics.
  • Establish a learning framework and conduct experiments with business partners to enhance operational processes.
  • Assess and integrate innovative tools, methodologies, and data sources to derive business insights.
  • Articulate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner.
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning within the team and among business partners.
  • Guide, manage, and inspire a highly skilled team of analytics professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Master's degree is preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over 5 years of experience in applied analytics, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with various financial service functions and their corresponding KPIs.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in SQL; familiarity with Python, SAS, R, or other analytical programming languages is essential.
  • Expertise in developing and presenting dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, etc.
  • Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, and business analytics.
  • Ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • Skill in coaching and motivating a highly educated analytics team.
