Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Stores and Inventory Control Manager, the Aviation Materials Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining precise inventory documentation, overseeing the logistics of material handling, and executing various assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting the receipt of aviation components utilizing an electronic inventory management system.
  • Facilitating the dispatch of aviation materials.
  • Managing the shipping of hazardous materials as necessary.
  • Supporting Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Planning by selecting and distributing aviation components.
  • Returning surplus materials to inventory.
  • Coordinating the transportation of Company Material (COMAT) to and from all remote locations as well as managing aircraft tool inventory.
  • Loading and unloading freight from diverse transportation methods.
  • Addressing Aircraft on Ground (AOG) needs during off-hours, including generating purchase orders and organizing logistics for essential aviation components.
  • Arranging local pickups and drop-offs through approved courier services.
  • Storing pallets and containers using forklifts and hangar shelving.
  • Actively engaging in the Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations; understanding, adhering to, and promoting the Company Safety Policy.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Possession of a valid Class G2 or G driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance history and punctuality.
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
