Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Greenwood Enterprises. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate records of staff performance and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop or restaurant environment.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
