Position Overview

The International Marketing and Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in crafting, executing, and assessing marketing strategies and initiatives to enhance Cooke's footprint in the global marketplace. This position is also tasked with spearheading data-driven planning and segmentation for products, clientele, and distribution channels, propelling sales and market expansion on an international scale. The role will report directly to the Director of Global Supply.

Marketing & Sales Strategy

  • Direct the research, development, and execution of tailored channel strategies for customers.
  • Take a leading role in formulating and executing the international sales and marketing strategy, considering the distinct needs of markets beyond North America.
  • Design and implement a data-driven segmentation strategy for Cooke products globally, ensuring optimal presentation of brands and products to the appropriate customers at the right moment.
  • Compile research insights and collaboratively create marketing materials to assist the sales team in converting leads.
  • Contribute to the formulation of go-to-market strategies that facilitate sales and promote brand and revenue growth across the organization, aligning with key objectives.
  • Oversee product and customer pricing, continuously assessing competitive pricing and programs.
  • Lead educational initiatives and training for commercial team members regarding products available in the international market.
  • Manage government relations and associated programs, ensuring the optimization of all international funding and budget opportunities.
  • Play a significant role in planning and executing trade shows, including sample management and attendance at international exhibitions.
  • Participate in customer meetings to support the sales process and cycle.
Innovation and Commercialization
  • Drive commercialization efforts in international markets, including the development of all supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with the Product Specialist group on inventory related to the international market, prioritizing species and opportunities with sales teams.
Data, Insights & Optimization
  • Contribute to the development and actively monitor an annual budget, including forecasting and actuals.
  • Proactively identify and conduct research and analysis to build a comprehensive understanding of customers, trends, competitors, and competitive programming.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to disseminate consumer and market insights across the commercial organization.
  • Proactively enhance knowledge on tariffs, export fees, and other relevant international considerations.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in marketing or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
