Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Adolescent Day Treatment Program, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the program team, including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
  • Develop and maintain various systems, such as forms and filing systems, to ensure efficient program operations.
  • Respond to inquiries, draft correspondence, and refer to appropriate areas as needed.
  • Coordinate workflow by gathering information from files, directing referrals to appropriate staff, and maintaining records.
  • Perform receptionist duties, including receiving and prioritizing incoming inquiries and directing to appropriate persons or areas.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and petty cash for the department.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical terminology.
  • Three years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard at 60 w.p.m.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to organize work, communicate effectively, and deal with others effectively.
