Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Adolescent Day Treatment Program, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the program team, including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
- Develop and maintain various systems, such as forms development and filing, to ensure efficient program operations.
- Screen incoming materials, prioritize tasks, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Coordinate workflow by gathering information from files, directing referrals to appropriate staff, and maintaining accurate records.
- Perform receptionist duties, including receiving and prioritizing incoming inquiries, and directing to appropriate personnel or areas.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, petty cash, and other departmental records.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical terminology.
- Three years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 60 w.p.m., operate related equipment, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively and physically perform the duties of the position.
