About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Minami Restaurant Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new pastry menus that showcase our commitment to quality and creativity.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of pastry chefs and cooks to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to optimize our purchasing and storage processes.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and coaching to our pastry team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all pastry products meet our high standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all pastry equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary arts program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a pastry chef in a high-volume restaurant or bakery.
  • Certifications: Cook Trade Certification and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
