About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at The Ridge Hotel & Suites. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our pastry and dessert offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory levels to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Training and Development: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to junior staff members, and provide guidance on preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
  • Leadership: Supervise and mentor cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and excellent customer service.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious pastry and dessert options for our guests.
  • Customer Service: Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all pastry and dessert products meet our high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
