About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at The Ridge Hotel & Suites. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our pastry arts team and ensuring the highest quality of desserts and baked goods for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious pastry menus that showcase our hotel's commitment to excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train our pastry team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to our guests, responding to their needs and preferences in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all pastry products meet our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
