Role Overview and Requirements

The Retail Merchandising Specialist is tasked with representing the company, its clients, and customers by effectively collaborating in teams to execute reset and remodel projects. This includes, but is not limited to, interpreting and implementing plan-o-grams, placing new items, correcting voids, and engaging in special merchandising initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, quick to learn, possesses a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Interpret and adhere to plan-o-grams to successfully complete reset and remodel tasks. Maintain a solid understanding of merchandising and retail terminology.

· Execute tasks such as relocating and cleaning shelves, setting up new racks and displays, arranging merchandise appropriately, applying shelf strips and tags accurately, verifying date codes, and ensuring plan-o-gram compliance, as well as managing pack-outs, restocks, and reorders as needed.

· Collaborate with store staff and colleagues to achieve and uphold merchandising standards, discuss modifications, and foster effective working relationships.

· Accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel activities.

· Adhere to safety protocols by being fully aware of surroundings. Employ appropriate safety measures and equipment when necessary. Proactively inform management of any unsafe conditions to prevent accidents.

· Comprehend and follow all company policies and standard operating procedures.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience is preferred. Previous experience in sales, retail, and reset responsibilities is advantageous.

· Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to build relationships with business partners are essential.

· Proficient in using technology (e.g., smartphones, computers, copiers/faxes, and handheld devices).

· Demonstrated core competencies include:

o Commitment to Quality: Maintain standards that meet or exceed expectations.

o Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in work.

o Customer Service: Address customer concerns effectively.

o Communication Skills: Convey information clearly and effectively.

· Ability to work accurately with web-based applications to manage work availability, assignments, documentation, and time tracking.

· Willingness to work in cold environments (e.g., refrigerated and freezer sections of retail locations) for limited durations.

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills are required. Must be able to read and communicate effectively.

Travel may be necessary, potentially up to 50%, including overnight stays and occasional weekend work.
