About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships to join our team at CharityVillage. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading our individual and foundation fundraising efforts, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Fundraising and Partnerships
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue targets.
    • Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
    • Cultivate and solicit major gifts, including planned giving options and gifts of assets other than cash.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure team success.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Stewardship and Donor Engagement
    • Develop and implement a stewardship plan to recognize and thank donors for their support.
    • Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain reports to track fundraising progress, including revenue, donor engagement, and team performance.
    • Analyze data to inform fundraising strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in individual and foundation fundraising.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and managing a team of fundraising professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with fundraising databases and software, including Salesforce.
