Job Summary

The AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Philanthropy to lead our fundraising efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Fundraising Planning: Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to achieve our annual and long-term goals.
  • Major Gifts and Donor Relations: Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our mission.
  • Donor Stewardship and Recognition: Develop and implement a donor stewardship and recognition plan to ensure that donors feel valued and appreciated.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of fundraising professionals to achieve our fundraising goals.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to advance our fundraising efforts.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Proven Fundraising Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts.
  • Strategic Thinking and Planning: Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our goals.
  • Donor Relations and Stewardship: Experience in cultivating and soliciting major gifts, as well as developing and implementing donor stewardship and recognition plans.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and manage a team of fundraising professionals to achieve our fundraising goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers.
