About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Arconic. As a key member of our Kawneer Building Construction team in Lethbridge, you will play a critical role in driving cost savings and optimizing procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate with Suppliers: Achieve cost savings through negotiations with suppliers for site spend, conducting competitive bids for capital and commodity projects, and working with internal stakeholders to implement productivity improvement and sourcing project initiatives.
  2. Supply Chain Support: Support manufacturing operations by escalating and resolving supply and service issues with Suppliers.
  3. Procurement Optimization: Work with internal stakeholders to optimize requisition to payment processes, qualify alternative suppliers, and manage supply risks.
  4. Performance Metrics: Achieve Site-specific Procurement targets on spending, weighted average vendor pay terms, and supplier performance.
  5. Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain constructive business relationships with key suppliers.
  6. Sourcing Strategies: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to arrive at the best total value solution for the company.
  7. Leadership: Lead non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including Kaizen workshops and Working Capital/Inventory Workshops.
  8. Collaboration: Interface with other Procurement Operations Managers at each Arconic manufacturing site in the U.S. to develop and leverage in-depth understanding of purchasing processes, critical material sourcing, and savings initiatives.
  9. Category Management: Work proactively with Category Managers to implement key strategic initiatives in all areas of spend.
  10. Compliance: Fulfill auditing and compliance requirements related to Procurement processes.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Institution (Engineering, finance, business, or supply chain preferred).
  2. Experience: 3 years previous work experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
  3. Authorization: Employees must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
