Job Overview

Arconic is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to enhance our Kawneer Building Construction division.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Realize cost efficiencies through supplier negotiations for site expenditures, conducting competitive tenders for capital and commodity projects, and collaborating with internal teams to implement productivity enhancements and sourcing initiatives.
  2. Support manufacturing functions by addressing and resolving supply and service challenges with suppliers.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine requisition-to-payment processes, evaluate alternative suppliers, and manage supply chain risks.
  4. Meet site-specific procurement objectives regarding expenditure, vendor payment terms, and supplier performance metrics.
  5. Establish and nurture constructive relationships with key suppliers.
  6. Formulate and execute sourcing strategies to achieve optimal total value solutions for the organization.
  7. Lead non-commercial initiatives as necessary to fulfill objectives, including Kaizen workshops and inventory management sessions.
  8. Engage with other Procurement Operations Managers across Arconic's manufacturing sites in the U.S. to develop a comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes, critical material sourcing, and savings initiatives.
  9. Proactively collaborate with Category Managers to implement strategic initiatives across all spending categories.
  10. Ensure compliance with auditing and procurement process requirements.
QualificationsBasic Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
  3. Legal authorization to work in Canada is required; verification of employment eligibility will be conducted at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Professional certification such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPIM, CPM, or CSCP) is advantageous.
  2. Experience with JD Edwards or Oracle systems.
  3. Proven adaptability across various categories and suppliers.
  4. Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
  5. Project management skills, with the ability to oversee resources and timelines effectively.
  6. Robust financial and business acumen.
  7. Innovative and strategic mindset.
  8. Technical proficiency, including the ability to interpret complex manufacturing processes and technical drawings.
